Going Gray: Words Of Encouragement, Tips and Stories Sometimes we all need to hear words of encouragement. Stories of those who have made the journey before us help keep things in perspective. So today, I am asking for YOUR help to inspire and support everyone who might be struggling on this journey to gray hair. Please leave a comment below sharing something of your own journey to gray. Some of your own advice to those just beginning.... How old were you when you found your first gray hair? How long did you color your hair before deciding to go gray? How did you do it? The Chop? The Grow Out? The Heavy Highlight? How have you needed to change your wardrobe since going gray? Did your makeup change too? Do you wear more or less makeup now? Is your significant other supportive of your decision to go gray? How do you deal with it if they aren't? Feel free to add more!! I am only six months into this journey and I am groping my way along! Every day I learn something new. I don't have all the answers. Heck, some days I don't have any!! The mainstream beauty and fashion magazines are no help to us silver hair sirens.
