My personal 5 guidelines are as follows...

1.Watch size and wearing the right size for your own scale and not somebody else's.

2.Strap options and how to match colors, types of pattern/styles to your watch, regardless of whether the band is leather, rubber or nato.

3.Making sure your watch is fitting to your attire as well as its function.

4.Age and socioeconomic appropriateness when buying and wearing a time piece.

5.Why watch snobbery is bad form, limiting to one's enjoyment of horology and why you should be more open minded.
