In this video I respond to some questions left on my YouTube Videos

First Question
The water is coming into the washer fine, but runs right out of the drain hose as it's filling - What do I do?

Raise the end of the washer's drain hose to at least a couple inches above the top of the wash tub. Then the water will not drain out and the washer will fill fine.

Second Question
My gas dryer was taking two or three loads to dry my clothes but also is really heating up in the back. I almost burnt my hand by touching it. Do you think this is a fire hazard?

Yes, clean out the dryer and your external dryer venting.

Third Question
Bill, if the relay has to be replaced due to a burnt terminal, should the overload be replaced as well?

Yes, the heat my have caused some damage to the overload. You'll have the components apart, you should just replace both of them while you are there.

Fourth Question
Hey, my washer wasn't spinning. I give it a little help and it took off. Does this mean it's the transmission or could it be something as simple as the coupler?

Most of the time it turns out to be the clutch on the washer. It could however be the motor couple if the center of it is rounded out. You'll need to check the coupler, if that's fine, replace the clutch.
