Testing and Replacing Fan Clutch - BMW E39 528i

This was done on my 99 BMW e39 528i. I would expect that replacement procedures would be about the same for any car.

Anyway, my car temperatures were spiking once in a while and after doing some research, found that it may be a bad fan clutch. I researched on youtube & google but did not find much help as to comparing a good vs bad one so i couldn't confirm if it was a bad fan clutch for sure. So, I decided to purchased an aftermarket one online and made this video of the process to help those who may need it.

It was my first time doing a fan clutch and i must say it was fairly simple to do. Took about 30-45 mins. Sorry, for the background noise, I live on a busy street and my brother was using the garage as well.
