4.5 billion years ago, Earth was completely alone.

Then a planet about the size of Mars, called Theia, crashed into it.

The impact was so powerful that pieces of Earth were blasted into space.

For millions of years, those broken pieces slowly came together...

and became the Moon.

So every time you look up at the night sky,

you're not just seeing a rock.

You're seeing a piece of Earth's own past...

a reminder that even something born from destruction

can become something beautiful.
