Planting a Year's Worth of Food in our Small Garden

Plant a year's worth of food in our small garden with us! We share our tips for growing the maximum amount of vegetables in a small space. Growing a successful garden is an important part of our homestead. I love the feeling of having all our seeds and seedlings in the ground! I hope the tips and tricks we have learned over the years of small scale gardening help you this gardening season!

Planting a year's worth of potatoes is our top priority in our garden, along with other staple crops like tomatoes, onions and carrots. We store a lot of our food for winter in a "root cellar" environment. Other vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, peas, greens, beets, beans and flowers are fun to grow but get less space in our garden.

I am excited to share the progress of our garden with you this year, as we continue on with our off grid cabin build.

Happy gardening!
