Ana Gabriel Concierto Completo Feb. 2022

On February 18, 2022, I watched Ana Gabriel perform live at the Summit in Pechanga Resort and Casino. Hands down the best Mexican artist I've ever seen live. The sound was incredible, a soul-lifting beauty, just as good, if not better than her recordings from 1990. She shared how happy she was to make a safe return to the stage and finish the tour, interrupted by COVID in 2020. She also talked about her retirement from music, she told the story of asking God for a sign to retire. For a quick minute she said she thought she saw a sign but none the less, its not time yet and she jokingly said, "anyways I'm already here. Let's finish."

Special guest in the audience, Rosa Saavedra, mother of the late Jenni Rivera was present and heard Ana Gabriel sing "Paloma Negra" for the first time since Jenni's funeral in 2012.
