I was drinking Turkish coffee at the restaurant of my niece’s husband’s family. Because we spoke different languages, we could not understand each other very well. The funny thing was that they thought I knew how to read Turkish coffee cups after we finished drinking, and I thought they were the ones who knew how to do it! So we were all waiting quietly until my niece’s husband finally told me to open the cup and read it. I started laughing because I realized we had both been expecting the other side to do the fortune reading.
