Playa Vista / Los Angeles - Per a worker at the building they are a promotional company. They do printing and their supplies are stored on the 3rd floor. Heavy smoke was seen when arriving firefighters started their attack. The fire seemed to get a handle on the fire but then it all of a sudden started up in a big way. Flames could be seen shooting out the roof and windows of the building. Smoke could be seen for miles. As of 9:00am no knockdown to report. -

More than 75 firefighters are battling a fire today at a three-story commercial building in Playa Vista, a fire department spokesman said.
   Firefighters dispatched at 7:25 a.m. to 11869 Teale St. reported seeing fire showing from the third floor of the building, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
   Additional units were requested and at some point during the blaze, firefighting efforts went into defensive mode, Scott said.
   The building was not occupied upon the arrival of firefighters, he said. -CNS
