Reham Khan is a 2018 controversial memoir written by Reham Khan. She is the former wife of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan. It was published on July 10, 2018 before the 2018 Pakistani general election. The book was published by SK Publications in Pakistan and HarperCollins Publishers in India.
Reham Nayyar Khan ریحام نیئر خان born 3 April 1973 is a Libyan-born British Pakistani journalist, author, and filmmaker.
Reham was born to Nayyar Ramzan, a Pakistani physician. She is ethnically of Pashtun origins from the Lughmani clan, a sub-clan of the Swati tribe. She is fluent in four languages which include English, Urdu, Pashto and her ancestral Hindko. Her family hails from the town of Baffa, lying 15 km west of Mansehra in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Her parents moved to Libya in the late 1960s, where Reham was born in Ajdabiya in 1973. She has one sister and one brother.
She is the niece of Abdul Hakeem Khan who was a former governor of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province and former Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court.
Reham has a Bachelor Degree in Education from Jinnah College for Women, Peshawar
She married Ejaz Rehman or Ijaz Rehman her first cousin and British psychiatrist, when she was 19. Following their divorce, Khan began working as a broadcast journalist. She has three children who have lived with her since the divorce.
On 6 January 2015, Imran Khan confirmed his marriage to Reham which ended on 30 October 2015 in a divorce.
Reham started her career in 2006 hosting shows on Legal TV. In 2007, Reham began presenting for Sunshine Radio Hereford and Worcester. In 2008, Khan joined BBC as weather girl.
In 2013, Khan came to Pakistan and joined Pakistani news channel News One. She later joined Aaj TV. In 2014, following a brief stint at PTV, she joined Dawn News presenting the current affairs show In Focus. Following a brief hiatus in early 2015, she resumed her work with a new show on Dawn. The Reham Khan Show, a programme celebrating Pakistani heroes, debuted in May 2015. In December 2015, she started a new talk show by the name of Tabdeeli on Neo TV. Tabdeeli (change) is also a political slogan of Imran Khan, her former husband. Reham left Neo TV in June 2016.
Waqar Zaka is a Pakistani VJ-turned-television host. According to Zaka, he is an engineering graduate of NED University of Engineering & Technology. Zaka began his career during his school life by releasing the student song Nahi Parha Meine Poora Saal and then became a VJ. After earning fame as VJ, he started hosting a TV reality show Living on the Edge. Waqar then created and hosted reality shows XPOSED, King of Street Magic, Desi Kudiyan and The Cricket Challenge aired on ARY Musik.
In the 2013 Pakistani general election, Zaka ran for the seat of the National Assembly of Pakistan from Karachi NA-253 constituency, but was unsuccessful and secured only 31 votes out of the 211,768 total votes cast. Zaka claims he ran to demonstrate how to run for election for his show Main Banoonga Minister; he stated that this was "the only entertaining way of telling our youth how to be a part of the system". He ran on a platform of prioritizing and improving access to entertainment and the internet.
In April 2019, Zaka announced a political movement in Pakistan called Tehreek-e-Tech. In May 2019, he apologized to the people for destroying the young minds via his TV reality show Living on the Edge.
In November 2019, Zaka began hosting a TV reality show, Champions with Waqar Zaka, on BOL Network. In January 2020, the show was banned by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) for being "offensive towards social, religious and cultural values of this country". In April 2020, the Islamabad High Court upheld the decision of PEMRA to ban the show.
