The Yamaha CC1 has some serious potential to be an amazing Cubase controller. The hardware feels premium, the motorized fader is excellent, and there are some genuinely smart features built in. But after spending a few days with it, I also found some software and integration issues that make it feel unfinished right now. In this video, I share what I like about the CC1, what’s holding it back, and why I’m still hopeful Yamaha can turn it into something really special.
