Matilda 5CV Returns to the road

In December 2002, Tom and Lois Newsome were driving around Australia to re-create the journey of the first car to drive around the continent. On 2 December 2002 they were almost killed and the car destroyed when hit on the freeway near Picton and Wollongong. Members of the Citroen Car Club of NSW and Illawarra Motorlife Museum gathered and rebuilt the car while Tom and Lois recovered.
