stitch length can be changed so that many different types of zigzag stitches can be sewn.

The zigzag width of the throw of this embroidering machine can be regulated by the knee press. From your sitting position, make certain that the knee press smoothly contacts the tip of your right knee. If the knee is not correctly contacting the knee lifter, adjust it by loosening the screw Fig.
Rotate the machine slowly and if the knee press is pressed with your knee, the needle will vibrate right to left and the embroidering can proceed. The more the knee press is pressed with your knee, the greater becomes the zigzag width of the throw.

HOW TO SET THE CLOTH INTO THE HOOP
It will be necessary to do all kinds of embroidering with various zigzag widths of the throw. So, in each instance, loosen the zigzag regulating knob and adjust the width to your liking. Before starting the
embroidering, the cloth must be stretched into the hoop. The stretched cloth inside the hoop should not be too loose or too tight but should be just right all around. If it's too loose, it might invite skip-stitching but if it's too taut on lightweight materials, the cloth might rip. So in such a case, attach a heavy cloth around the hoop together with the lightweight material and pull this heavyweight material with the stretched lightweight material.

HOW TO EMBROIDERING
Press down the cloth inside the hoop with your two hands and by setting the zigzag width with your knee, start embroidering. Be careful not to press down on the cloth too much but just enough to keep it down because if too much pressure is applied to your two hands, you cannot do a good embroidering job. Your knee action must harmonize with the movement of your hands to produce flawless embroidering work.

CAUSES OF THREAD BREAKAGE
As the embroidering thread is very delicate, it may not be broken on a dry, clear day but on a wet, rainy day when the air is damp and humid, it is liable to be broken. Aside from this cause, the thread might break due to the following misusage of the machine:
A) When the needle thread is passed wrong or has slipped off
B) When the needle thread is intertwined around the threaded spindle
C) When the bobbin thread is depleted or broken
D) When the sewing hook is installed wrong (when the special thick needle is used, be sure to match the sewing hook with this type of needle.
E) When the tension of the needle thread is extremely bad
F) When the needle is curved.
G) When the tip of the sewing hook is bruised (In this case, smooth the paint with sandpaper.
H) When the needle hole of the throat plate is bruised (Also in such a case, polish with sandpaper)
