Bowler has been building competition-spec Land Rovers since 1985, and the 2021 Defender Challenge is their latest creation. Based on the all-new Defender, the Challenge gets a series of bespoke modifications to ready it for competition, such as extra chassis bracing, a roll cage, Fox off-road dampers and all-terrain tires. It's powered by Land Rover's 296bhp P300 Ingenium engine, and the Challenge has been designed around a new one-make competition series for owners. But how does it fare when driven at the limit on a rally stage? Our man Sean Carson finds out.
