SHUFFLE LIKE BONHAM, PURDIE, PORCARO & COPELAND with this One Hand Pattern

In this video, I demonstrate how you can learn to shuffle like John Bonham, Bernard Purdie, Jeff Porcaro & Stewart Copeland by learning one hand pattern very well.

What Bonham, Purdie, Porcaro and Copeland have in common in their shuffle, is their use of the middle triplet ghost note. That is the main ingredient that makes their shuffle sound great.

Most drummers try learning their shuffle by practicing them slowly and or breaking them up into smaller sections. That works well if your hands are developed enough to pull it off. But if they are not, these shuffles become quite difficult to learn.

This video shows you the one hand pattern it takes to learn these grooves quicker and easier.

The idea is to treat this hand pattern like it's a stick control pattern and that you are learning it as part of your hand development process. When you can do it at 150 bpm - 180 bpm, then learning these Bonham, Purdie, Porcaro, Copeland type shuffle becomes so much easier to learn.
