Here’s a guitar cover of We Weren’t Born To Follow , a song from the 2009 album The Circle, by Jesper.

I remember when this one was released. I must have had it on repeat for over a week. I loved it to death and though I still love it it has maybe faded a bit - probably due to the fact that it has been so largely overplayed live.
Anyway in the studio this one is a very produced and poppy track while it was a bit more ”rock” live with more distorted guitar. In the studio the guitars are more U2-like with the delay riff on the guitar and the big reverb chords in the verse. I do prefer the studio version to the live version. It just sounds better in the polished studio version. And the fact that Jon played acoustic guitar live is just beyond me why he thought it was necessary.
And the classic story how the youtube kid got Richie to record a solo for the album is just Bon Jovi historia. Very cool!
