The Ancient Forest
Deborah Paris is a world renowned Plein Air painter, who moved from Taos, NM, to Clarksville, TX, to paint Red River County’s Lennox Wood, a perfectly preserved forest in North East Texas owned by the Lennox family (pre Civil War) and donated to the Texas Conservancy. The woods have never been harvested for lumber or other resources. Nature is a muse for this artist. Her historically influential family is preserving the power of nature for its powerful impact on art. Money, art and nature work hand in hand.
