Top 50 AFL Goals of All Time
🚨 CHECK OUT my new AFL video essays here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6qXDjpeBHCVKk_DMzCl2NIp4Jj00-8Wx
The definitive countdown of the VFL/AFL's Top 50 goals of all time. Of course, due to the nature of televised games and the saturation of our sport in the last two decades, many of these goals come from the late 90s, 2000s and beyond.
Naturally, this is a subjective view and I'm sure you disagree with some of these goals or perhaps felt that I missed out a few great goals, so feel free to comment with your suggestions. Goals are ranked based on difficulty, flair, distance, time of the game and general public perception.
Sources for this video were mostly the "Greatest Goals of All Time" DVDs, editions 1 & 2. Goals not on that DVD were found on YouTube. Footage copyright of Sports Delivered and the Australian Football League.
**NOTE: Recently, with thanks to commenter Oscar Wang, I was alerted of a few incorrect years on the captions and have since amended those using annotations. If you have annotations disabled / are on mobile / etc., the following dates were updated: #50 Stuart Dew occurred in 2005; #35 Steve Johnson occurred in 2006; #34 Wayne Carey occurred in 2003; #24 Aaron Davey occurred in 2006.
