Tesla’s Sleeping GIANT a No-Brainer for Ron Baron

Legendary investor Ron Baron interviewed Elon Musk in person this week. Baron is worth about $4.9 billion dollars, and he’s the founder of Baron Capital which has approximately $45 billion dollars in assets under management. He's purchased Tesla stock at $13 per share and still holds $4 billion of the company. Ron Baron states that no one wanted an electric car and if it wasn’t for Elon Musk and Tesla there wouldn’t be any electric cars today. Elon Musk attributes this in part to: “Tesla is best at manufacturing in the auto industry, which I think no one was expecting.” Tesla’s brand new Texas Gigafactory is expected to be much larger than Fremont in terms of production in a few years time, which would make them even more superior at manufacturing. In addition, Tesla would likely need a much more affordable car, a $20,000 car, in order to address a larger portion of the market. But solving full self driving is the critical factor that ELon Musk is focused on, and will be extremely lucrative in multiple ways for Tesla. #tesla #elonmusk #ronbaron
