Hit and Miss Engine first start, Gilson

This is a ~1924 Gilson "Johnny on the Spot" engine, 1 3/4 horsepower. After I bought it, major cleaning and some small fixes were needed. A mouse was in the cylinder and three nails and a window latch were in the water hopper. A water drain valve needed to be added, and the sparkplug, originally designed for 1/2" pipe thread (model t ford plug), was adapted to 14mm standard using a pipe reducer with a helicoil. A one way check valve was vital to prevent the engine from starving of fuel, and some adjustments to the mixer/ carburetor still must be made.
