Bob Mintzer and the WDR Big Band have a long history together. Not only are we happy to have him as our "Principal Conductor", we've played together a lot through the years. Here's a clip from over 25 years ago, it's Bob's tunel "Runferyerlife" (From the 1994 Album "Run For Your Life"), featuring Bob on tenor sax, Russel Ferrante on piano, and Will Kennedy on drums! Recorded live in the Kölner Philharmonie, conducted by Vince Mendoza. Tune in on Saturday to hear how it sound today, as the "overture" of our WDR 3 live broadcast.
