Canton of Ticino
Ticino, sometimes Tessin, officially the Republic and Canton of Ticino or less formally the Canton of Ticino, is one of the 26 cantons forming the Swiss Confederation. It is composed of eight districts and its capital city is Bellinzona. It is also traditionally divided into the Sopraceneri and the Sottoceneri, respectively north and south of Monte Ceneri.

Blenio
Blenio is a municipality of the district of Blenio, in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. Blenio was created on 22 October 2006 when it incorporated the formerly autonomous municipalities of Aquila, Campo Blenio, Ghirone, Olivone and Torre of the upper Blenio valley. A legal challenge to the merger was raised by Aquila, but was rejected by the Federal Court on 18 April 2006.

Acquarossa
Acquarossa is the capital of the district of Blenio in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. The municipality was created on 4 April 2004 by a merger of Castro, Corzoneso, Dongio, Largario, Leontica, Lottigna, Ponto Valentino and Prugiasco. The village Acquarossa was located in Lottigna. The name of the new community was selected from the one located at its centre: Aquarossa, a tourist resort.

Faido
Faido is the capital of the district of Leventina in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino in southern Switzerland. On 29 January 2006, Faido grew by incorporating the villages of Chiggiogna, Rossura, and Calonico. On 1 April 2012, Faido grew again when it incorporated the former municipalities of Anzonico, Calpiogna, Campello, Cavagnago, Chironico, Mairengo and Osco. It grew again on 10 April 2016 when Sobrio was absorbed into the municipality.

Cascata Piumogna
The waterfall of Piumogna is 43 meters high and is considered one of the most spectacular in Ticino. It can be reached on foot easily, there are parking lots nearby and it represents an unmissable attraction for nature lovers that spend some time in Leventina, even if they do so only for a couple of hours. A suspension bridge over the creek, which gives the name to this wild waterfall, allows visitors to enjoy a spectacle in nature of rare beauty in complete safety.
