Review of Popeye The Sailor: The 1940s Volume 1 on Blu-ray from Warner Archive. 14 remastered cartoons (1943-44) from 35mm nitrate negatives in Technicolor, theatrical cartoons originally released by Paramount. For 60 years, seen only as grainy 16mm Eastmancolor prints for kids TV with opening and closing logos replaced with a.a.p. Associated Artists Productions.
