F35 Main Mission: Evade Russian S500 Air Defense

The F35 Lightning II jet is currently in use by Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. This is a close air support and destroyer of enemy anti-air systems. The Navy's Top Gun program is working to integrate this fifth generation fighter jet into the existing arsenal of A-10's Warthogs and F22 Raptors.

A lot of people seem to think the F35 Lighting II will replace the A-10 Warthog but their mission sets will be different. The new jet will focus on anti air systems like the Russian SA-400.

The new F35 jet is able to see threats from any direction way in advance in order to avoid it or destroy it. The computer sensor will even recommend what the pilot should do. The only downside to this is that pilots say there is way more that you have to keep track of inside the cockpit.
