5 TECHNIQUES for Shooting WIDE ANGLE PORTRAITS with the FUJI 16mm 1.4

Don't think wide angle lenses can be used for portaits because of unflattering distortion? In this video, I show you how to shoot portraits with a wide angle lens by breaking down five techniques which intentially utilize wide angle distortion as a creative tool for making stronger portraits. I go over example portraits taken with the Fuji 16mm 1.4 to help me explain my approach and illustrate the visual and subconscious effect these tehcniques have on the viewer. Wide angle lenses need some portrait love too! All images were shot with with Fujifilm X-series cameras (X-T2 & X-T3) and post-processed in Lightroom with my own preset.
