How to use a dip pen for drawing and cartoon work

I was hanging out with my patron, Pat last week, and she showed me her amazing collection of noodling fountain pens. She also showed me the ink that she uses which doesn't clog the pens. I have some on order - I'll do another video about them.

It made me think how wasteful disposable pens are - I love my Rotring Tokky Graphics, but - maybe I should learn to use a dip pen?

To get started I learned that you need a potato! Who knew that?

The video shows me drawing with a dip pen and the watercolouring the illustration which is for my twitter feed - letting you know I will be at the Big Dog Children's Book Festival in Dumfries Scotland at the end of March - come along and draw some dogs!
