How To Freeze Soap Bubbles
Snow and ice have a beautiful way of slowing us down, allowing us to stop and see the beautiful details around us. Learn to make frozen bubbles in the snow and watch a tiny world come to life. Take a deep breath… relax those shoulders… and enjoy these magical creations. Warm blessings to all of you, during this very cold winter.
Step 1 - Make sure the temperature is below freezing (it was around 19 degrees during this video)
Step 2 - Mix Soap & Water in a bowl (until bubbles naturally form when you stir it)
Step 3 - Use a straw or bubble wand to blow bubbles
Step 4 - Be patient. Many bubbles will burst (even a small breeze will burst a bubble in these temperatures). If the snow/surface is particularly sharp (as seen in the video) you may have to build up a small layer of soapy water before the bubble will have a good base to sit on. This naturally happens when attempting to blow one bubble after another in the same place.
Step 5 - Watch closely. This amazing show happens quickly (usually within several seconds) and it's far smaller than most people expect. You might even want to watch it through a magnifying glass so you can enjoy the tiny details. It may help to place your bubble in the sun and have a dark background in the distance so you can see the show a little easier.
Step 6 - Have fun and enjoy!!
