Is Quest3's Wifi issues better with Wifi 6e? (Solved, ref pinned comment)

EDIT FYI: At the date of this recording Virtual Desktop displayed 5G on my 6G nett (My 5G will not exceed 1200 Mbps on Q3 as it is 80Hz). It's since been updated and shows 6G on the overlay. The results are the same. Several videos have been posted since this one. Here is an isolated demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFrl9rTJH8E

So, I'm experiencing some stability issues with Quest 3's wifi. let's see if it's better with 6e.

The MAIN issue seems to stem from WiFi AC Bands (WiFi 5) vs. WiFi AX and AXe bands (WiFi 6 and 6e)

There seems to be an issue with all AC bands with the stuttering and issues overall. This issue has been reported to META by VD.

Hopefully, Meta will have an update on this soon.

But as a last-ditch effort is asked my retailer to replace my headset to rule out manufacturing errors.

The Quest 3 has Wifi6e so if you want to future prof for the best setup for tha. Get a Wifi6e Router. Since the 6G can be separated from your 2.5 and 5Ghz signals, you just need 1 router and dedicate 6G to your headset.

In this video I'm testing the “TP-link Archer AXE75”

But again, right now there are issues with Q3 and AX brands.

EDIT 2024: Version 60 works better when in close range and in line of sight of the router. The speed is still bouncing between 1080 and 1921, but the good news is that the intervals seem to have shrunk a lot. https://youtu.be/cE1iIfNQYgo?si=Lt_689WvFwX6ow18
