History making boxer Christy Martin

Christy Martin, inspiration for the new film Christy, starring Sydney Sweeney in the title role. Martin was the first female boxer to be featured on a Sports Illustrated cover, the first woman inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame, and the first nationally televised boxing match on Showtime. Her inspiring life story depicts the battles she fought and won in and out of the ring. Christy, from Black Bear pictures, hits theaters November 7.
