Sachin Tendulkar Dominating Moments | Sledging In Cricket

Best of Sachin Tendulkar dominating moments on the pitch. Interesting to know how good he was - not just as a Batsman but also at reading opposition's especially when there were instances of sledging in cricket.

1. ICC ODI World Cup 2003, Durban - England fast bowler Andrew Caddick said in his pre match conference - "India hasn't been up to the mark. Both their batting and bowling have been unimpressive. Even Sachin did not play well despite his century. Sachin's just like another batsman in the Indian team, and there are a lot of others in the Indian side. I'm sure if he opens, the guys will be more than happy. I am more than happy because it gives us a good chance of getting him out early with the new ball. At four he will come in when the ball is slightly older, and not doing as much. It then becomes a little difficult,”

Tendulkar went off to hit 36 scored against Caddick in 19 balls including 6 fours and who would not remember Sachin Tendulkar pull shot for six (the ball is yet to be found). While, Caddick finished with the figures of 69/3 in his 10 overs with all three of his wickets coming in the final over. India’s total of 250/9 was enough to entered super six in the tournament.

2. Sachin Tendulkar Sledging McGrath, ICC Champions Trophy 2000, Nairobi - Sachin told Ganguly that he'll do something to upset Mcgrath's rhythm. The first thing he said to him was "Today I will hit you out of the ground".
McGrath got really angry and started spraying the ball around and this was exactly what Indian batsmen wanted. As on that surface, McGrath would supposedly have been very dangerous. The sledging seemed to work as India clinched the victory - thanks to Master Blaster's opening cracker spell followed by Yuvraj's dream debut.
This match, however, will always be in the history for one good fight of 2 legends of the game - Sachin Tendulkar vs Glenn Mcgrath

3. India vs Pakistan 2004, Multan - Pakistan built a score of 364/5 and for India to win the match India, they had to take the remaining 15 wickets.
On the third day of the test, Sachin recalled dismissing Moin Khan in earlier instances and thought he could reuse that again.
Moin Khan on learning this smiled at Sachin saying "Aaj toh main tujhe chhakka maroonga" (I am going to hit you for a six today). Sachin took a plan with team and while coming on to bowl he replied to Moin saying "Chalo maar ke dikhao" (Go ahead and do it).
Sachin then told his teammates to let Abdur Razzak take a single to bring Moin on strike. On the very last ball of the day Sachin bowled a Googly by pitching it halfway outside of leg, it turned just sufficient and went between Moin's legs and hit the leg stump. The wicket turned out to be crucial in shifting the paradigm for India.
With rare instances of Sachin Tendulkar bowling out someones, shall we say it turned out to be 'Sachin vs Moin Khan' somewhere? :P
