Schumer to Trump: 'No More Games, Go Home to Florida'
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer celebrated Democrat Joe Biden's White House win Saturday, telling a crowd in New York City, "The long, dark night in America is over."
Schumer spoke a couple of hours after Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris, were declared the winners of the 2020 election for the White House.
"I say to Donald Trump, you lost, no more games, go home to Florida," Schumer said.
As he spoke, hundreds gathered in New York's Times Square to applaud the news that Biden will become the next president.
Earlier Saturday, the AP declared Biden has defeated President Donald Trump to become the 46th president of the United States.
He won Pennsylvania to exceed the 270 electoral votes needed to win the White House.
Biden also carried Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin and Michigan on his path to making Trump the first incumbent since George H.W. Bush to lose his bid for a second term.
