Band Info

Audrey Horne are a hard rock band from Bergen, Norway and was formed in 2002 by Toschie (formerly in Sylvia Wane), Thomas Tofthagen (Sahg), Arve Isdal aka Ice Dale (Enslaved, Bourbon Flame ao), Kjetil Greve (Deride), Tom Cato Visnes aka King ov Hell (Gorgoroth, God Seed, Sahg, King Ov Hell) and Herbrand Larsen (Enslaved). The band took its name from Sherilyn Fenn's character in the cult TV series Twin Peaks. Although some of the band's members play or have previously played in black metal bands like Enslaved and Gorgoroth, Audrey Horne's music is far removed from the black metal genre, and can be described as heavy and melodic classic rock, similar to bands like Van Halen, Kiss, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Faith No More and Alice In Chains.

The band issued an EP, Confessions & Alcohol, in advance of its full-length debut, 2005's No Hay Banda -- the album took home the Norwegian Grammy Award in the Best Metal Act category the following year. The group's sophomore effort, Le Fol, was released in 2007; that year also saw the amicable departures of Visnes and Larsen, the latter of whom continued to work with the group in the studio as a producer/engineer. The band released an eponymous third full-length outing in 2010, followed by Youngblood (2013), Pure Heavy (2014), and Blackout (2018).
