What is the first 'image' you remember in your life? Humans want to leave their image. A nice, great look.

The etymology of image originated from 'imago' used in ancient Rome. Imago means portrait. It meant "mask" made of wax from the face of a dead person. Since then, Imago has come to refer to reproductions(Vorstellung) of human faces in the form of paintings, sculptures and reliefs.

But for a long time, ordinary people couldn't own their own images. The image was the exclusive possession of the few who had such power and wealth. Then it was invented in 1826. It's "Camera." Now people can create and retain their images anytime, anywhere. In particular, the "lightness" of the operation and reproduction of the "digital image era" opened the era of popularization of images.

For those of you who want to capture images of yourself as well as of your loved ones, I met the photographer Albert Watson, along with Irving Penn, Helmut Newton and Richard Avedon, who stand at the center of the character and fashion photographs.

I asked about the meaning and creative work of photography, a formative art that captures and shapes objects, as well as the true story of Watson's own art life. We look forward to seeing a lot of people who are interested in images.
