Montepulciano, Italy | Walking Tour: Tuscan Wines and Views.

Montepulciano is a medieval and Renaissance hill-top town and comune in the Italian province of Siena in southern Tuscany. Located at 605 meters above sea level, between the Valdichiana and the Val d'Orcia, It sits high on a limestone ridge.

Montepulciano is a major producer of food and drink. Renowned for its pork, cheese, "pici" pasta, lentils, and honey, it is known worldwide for its wine. It is also famous for the wealth of excellent vineyards, from which the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG red wine is obtained.

The Tuscan region is majorly known for its breathtaking landscapes and the hill-top town of Montepulciano ticks all the boxes for a Tuscan escape.
