How to make a LEGO SPIKE Prime electric screwdriver

This video shows the different steps in designing and programming an electric screwdriver with a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot set.

In our Vives LEGO Education Innovation Studio youngsters can attend Spike Prime workshops. During such a workshop the youngsters are encouraged to design and program their own SPIKE screwdriver. Meanwhile, bridge parts are cut with a laser cutter in our Maaklab and LEGO connectors are printed with 3D printers. At the end of the workshop the youngsters are invited to screw together the bridge parts with their own screwdriver.

The big advantage of the new SPIKE Prime Robots is that thanks to the new LEGO building blocks and motors, construction is very easy and fast. We do not give any building instructions in these workshops and only show the screwdriver from this video at the end of the workshop when we place all the constructions next to each other.
