Cooper Rugged Trek VS Mickey Thompson Baja Boss Tire Comparison

This week I've got a tire comparison for you. I'm comparing the Cooper Rugged Trek VS Mickey Thompson Baja Boss. The first thing you notice when you see these tires is how similar they look. That’s because Mickey Thompson is owned by Cooper which will soon be owned by Goodyear, coincidentally. Cooper actually calls the Rugged Trek a Rough Terrain pattern but I call it a Hybrid. Both tires compete directly with the Goodyear Duratrac, Nitto Ridge Grappler, Yokahama X-AT, and Toyo Open Country RT. The Best Applications for this tire are jeeps, trucks, and SUV’s that spend most of their time on road but like to go mudding or off-roading on the weekends. Both have features that would make them perform better than a run of the mill All Terrain tire but not as good as a Maximum Traction/Mud Terrain tire.
