While the EV4 is already on sale in South Korea with front-wheel drive and either a 58.3-kWh or an 81.4-kWh battery producing 201 horsepower, the new variants are expected to launch later in 2026 after the car hits North America and Australia in early 2026.

The all-wheel-drive version will add a second motor, boosting performance, though exact specs are still under wraps. Kia also confirmed a GT version is coming, and if it follows the EV6 GT’s formula, that could mean around 500 to 570 horsepower and features like a “Virtual Gear Shift” that simulates paddle shifting.

For range, Kia is targeting up to 330 miles with the bigger battery, and about 235 miles with the smaller one—but expect those numbers to dip for the all-wheel-drive and GT trims. One unknown still looming is where Kia will build the EV4. If it’s made outside the U.S., it could face tariffs that drive up costs, which may impact pricing. So far, no official U.S. pricing details have been shared.
