Fix Your Fence Quick, Easy & Cheap! (Under $50)

Here is a quick, easy, and cheap way to fix your fallen down fence. My fence blew down during a strong wind storm and I did not want to spend the money on a brand new fence. It would have cost me about $5K+ to get a brand new one put up but instead this fix only cost me about $50 in materials. My fence wood was still good for another 3-4 years but my posts base was rotten over which broke easily during a wind storm.

I simply used the existing post and cut the rotten bottom pieces off and also cut down the panels to match the height of the shorter post. I then bought these aluminum angles at The local hardware store to use as new supports for the post. This saves me from digging up the concrete in the ground and use them again as a base for the posts. You basically use the aluminum angles and hammer it down at the corners of the concrete base where the posts were cemented in. Then drill the aluminum angles to the post using deck screws and the stainless steal washers.

This fix is a great way to reuse your existing fence panels and salvage your posts.
