The Quickest Way To Polish a Model Car Paint Job!

I tried to make this video showing how to polish a model car paint job that doesn't involve countless hours of sanding. If you don't have time to watch the video, this is the basic process:

- Testors Enamel Gloss Paint, dried and cured, then cleared with Testors
Enamel Clear Coat (no longer available?) Cure for 2-3 weeks minimum!
- Wetsand with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper
- Apply some Tamiya FINISHING Polish Compound (NOT Fine Compound)
- Polish with a wool polishing wheel (Bulk bags found on Amazon)
- Switch to a dry wool polishing wheel to bring out the final shine.

You can put a mirror shine on even a black model car finish in under 2 hours vs. dozens of hours with conventional methods!

Highly recommend the Dremel and polishing pads as they save you countless hours and your elbow. Should work just as well on Lacquers. I find enamels always stay soft so you have to not work aggressively. Black is by far the hardest color to shine as anything less than perfect leaves a haze.
