Our story begins once upon a time in a kingdom celebrating the birth of the new Princess, Aurora. The three good fairies – Flora, Fauna and Merryweather – bless the child with gifts of beauty and virtue. However, Maleficent, the evil fairy queen, arrives with her own gift: a spell that on her sixteenth birthday, Aurora will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die. But the fairies have one trick left to them.
