Late Night Noodling - Ambient piano/guitar improvisation (testing my new Harley Benton guitar!)
Hey Guys!
Guitar from 8:10 if you're here for that!
Here's a little ambient noodling I did last night, to test out my new guitar and take a little break from the work I've been doing. I haven't played guitar much in 20 years and it shows! But I'm hoping to do more of these and do them properly - this was just something I threw together and decided to record on the fly.
Really hoping to be able to upload some more tutorials/library reviews and things soon, but I've been really busy on a couple of projects and between that and moving back after lockdown, I haven't found the time to record any other music or videos.
However, found myself with some free time last night so decided to do a quick ambient improvisation using some Spitfire Audio LABS stuff and my new Harley Benton JA-60 OW.
I used to play guitar quite a lot when I was younger but haven't played that much for years apart from the odd bit here and there for work. But I decided I wanted to get back into playing more regularly again, and incorporating it more into my work - so I went and bought a new guitar (haven't done so since the early noughties!). After doing some research I decided to get a Harley Benton, as they seemed great guitars but affordable too, and as I couldn't justify spending hundreds and hundreds on a new one, I was hoping this would serve my purposes.
Suffice to say I'm really happy with it! I love the P-90 sound, and this is such a well made guitar for the money. Things have come a long way since I was a kid, and you pretty much couldn't get a semi-decent guitar for less than a £350-400+. I'm hoping to pick up a few more HB guitars along the way. This is plugged straight into the computer, via my MOTU Ultralite, and using a demo version of Neural DSP Fortin Nameless (I'm definitely going to be picking this up soon as well - AMAZING amp simulation!).
Anyway, hope you enjoy the ambient noodling, and I hope to resume more regular videos soon!
