ALLOTMENT JOBS FOR JANUARY 🌻 PRUNING APPLE TREES ... You will always find plenty of allotment jobs for January. Apple & Pear trees will both benefit from careful winter pruning. January is a good time to build or repair any hard standing structures such as frames and rotting timbers. Over the next few weeks I will be replacing my 6 carrot tanks with 2 larger ones. Usually the ground is still hard and possibly wet, so it is best to keep off the soil however tidying the beds and paths now will give you a clean canvas once the weather warms up. Sit back and ENJOY!!!
