Jim offers an improved way to correctly tune an Ameritron Amplifier. As an example, Ameritron refers to XMIT, XMT and XTM for the same control that is labelled XMT. You know, it could simple have Transmit! The manual also discusses tuning up your exciter's load and plate controls. Most of us do not have a plate and load control on an exciter (transmitter). We mostly have transceivers that are no tune.
