How Dave Mustaine (Over)Chased Metallica's Success

The 1990s were the golden time for Dave Mustaine and company. They dished out music, among what were both the best and worst albums in Megadeth history. And one of the reasons for such an activity and change, as admitted by Dave Mustaine in his book (link below), was the desire to repeat an absurd success of Metallica's Black Album. But in the pursue of money and radioplay, Megadeth had lost something that eventually lead to its crisis. Now, as we know the band's happy end, we revisit that time. How Megadeth albums became ever so mainstream, and where was the line they should've not crossed.
