Massed Pipes & Drums gather to salute the Chieftain at Strathmore Highland Games 2019

The massed pipe bands of central Scotland parade around the arena for the finale of the 2019 Strathmore Highland Games, held at Glamis Castle by Forfar, Angus, on Sunday 9th June 2019. Watching them is the Chieftain, Simon Patrick, 19th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, who the band salute by playing "Highland Laddie".

The bands were led by Drum Majors Michael Binder of Stockbridge Pipe Band, Mike Spain of RAF Central Scotland Pipes & Drums (light blue RAF tartan) and Eve Llewellyn of Camelon & District Pipe Band. Other bands present included Perth & District Pipe Band, Towie & District pipe band, Lochgelly High School Pipe Band, Fraserburgh RBL Pipe Band and the Highlanders, 4 Scots pipes and drums.
