Revolutionary procedure to cure blindness | 60 Minutes Australia

Imagine suffering with partial or total blindness for years only to have your sight restored with, of all things, one of your own teeth. At first it sounds more like quackery than groundbreaking medicine. But it's not. Doctors remove the patient's tooth and implant it with a new lens into their eye. This extraordinary operation has been done overseas before, but until now, never in Australia. As Ross Coulthart reports, the procedure is as risky as it is ingenious but the reward, if successful, is life changing (2017).
