Daft Punk - Get Lucky (Long version) ft. Pharrell Williams HD

"Get Lucky" is the lead single from Daft Punk's fourth studio album Random Access Memories, co-written with Nile Rodgers. I'd been hearing pieces of this song all summer because a sports talk show had been using it as an intro but I hadn't heard the entire song.

One day I see an interview with Nile Rodgers who is the guitarist on this song.
They were asking him how he liked to be thrust into a front man position with the group and he said he had always preferred to stay in the background during his career. He did such a good job of staying in the background I had never heard of him.

Then they started going through his discography. His 1959 Fender Stratocaster guitar which he has used on every track he's played, known as "The Hitmaker" has now earned an estimated 2 billion dollars. He's a founding member of the group Chic and has collaborated as producer and performer with many artists including Sister Sledge, (We Are Family) Diana Ross, (Upside Down, I'm Coming Out) David Bowie, (Let's Dance) INXS, (Original Sin) Duran Duran, (The Reflex) Madonna, (Like A Virgin) Steve Winwood, (Higher Love). He joined Robert Plant's platinum selling studio band The Honeydrippers, on the album The Honeydrippers: Volume One.

He also produced albums for Grace Jones, Earth Wind and Fire's vocalist Phillip Bailey, Cyndi Lauper, Peter Gabriel, Eric Clapton, The B-52s, David Lee Roth, Ric Ocasek, Jimmie Vaughan, The Stray Cats and many others.
