Catch n' Cook River Smallmouth Bass over Fire!

What a great summer day to catch and cook some smallmouth bass! It was hot but that meant the fishing was hot too! We used our little Costco kayaks to get to points along the river, then plied the swift current for these ferocious fish. The only way to cook a bass as far as I'm concerned is poaching them. You can fry them in butter and whatnot but we found that pouching a bass gives it an unusually good flavor.
