Over the last few years, there has been growing public attention and interest in UFOs/UAPs fuelled by whistleblowers, leaked videos and of course the media. But astronomers have been looking for life in the Universe for decades already, using systematic searches and established scientific methodologies. No-one spends more time looking up and thinking about aliens than astronomers, so what do we think about this? How does science more broadly ingest UFO claims?
