Destrehan Plantation
Destrehan Plantation was the site of one of the three trials that took place following the 1811 Slave Revolt. It was one of the largest slave revolts in U.S. History. The plantation has created a special exhibit honoring revolt that you can see when you take a One Tank Trip to Louisiana’s River Parishes. We check it out as well as the Ross Home Colony exhibit across the hall.
